Keeping your remote teams synced and on the same page in 2022 comes with a certain level of issues.
We are going to take a look at how you can ensure that your ministry remote teams are productive and moving forward with the final results for your church or ministry.
Many people enjoy the freedom of working from home and find that they are more productive as a result. The ability to sit indoors and wear sweatpants all day, on the other hand, it comes with its own set of difficulties and disappointments.
So how do you take full advantage of your remote teams and ensure that they are producing at the levels necessary for your church or ministry, let’s take a look at a few recommendations to ensure you are keeping your remote teams both healthy and productive.
Once you’ve established solid systems, make it a point to stay in touch with your team members on a regular basis.
Do not wait until you require something from them before contacting them.
Inquire about their health. Personalize your contact with them. Consider how you might be able to assist them. It will be beneficial to them, you, and the team culture as a whole.
While sitting at your desk in pajamas can sound very appealing to many, I can assure you that after a bit of time of being confined to the walls of your home will begin to take a toll on your mental health.
Furthermore, it is essential that your church leadership develop protocols for helping your remote team maintain their mental health and ability to focus
It is even more crucial for those who may be solo remote tech leads.
Oftentimes, those who work behind the scenes whether in person at your church or do so remotely to bring all the elements together can begin to feel as though nobody knows they even exist.
Trust me when I say that while your digital creative team or person may not necessarily want to be in the limelight, however, from time to time they do want to hear from those in your church that they exist and they are appreciated.
If you want your remote teams to truly shine and bring forward their very best, be sure and provide them with recognition.
Keeping your remote teams synced and operating smoothly will become easier as you begin to re-enforce the importance they play in your church’s digital communications.
I can stress this enough. The use of online groups couldn’t be any more essential than it is in 2022.
People are social creatures by nature and thrive on the interactivity with others. This is even more true for digital creatives.
Most digital creatives pull from one another to gather and collect ideas. With COVID forcing many people into isolation, it is very easy for your remote teams to become overwhelmed and living on the edge of burnout.
Pairing up the right people together within these groups will promote growth and provide your digital creatives with the means to feel a part.
It doesn’t have to be complicated, it just needs to be accessible.
I would venture to say that most people are on Facebook. Create private groups and use the “Rooms” feature to communicate with one another to share ideas and bring the creative process together.
Check out this awesome video on how to utilize Facebook Room’s to your advantage.
Audit your online platforms and activities. Give it a fresh look!
Many churches have turned to utilizing a wide array of platforms trying to reach everyone they can grab virtually.
However, is it really doing you good to have 5 or more platforms to have to maintain and stay current on?
Take a look at what you are doing virtually. Go into it as though you were starting from scratch. What do you currently offer and what could you be offering to maximize your online pressence.
It’s not necessary to provide a full smorgasboard to deliver and yield effective results.
Sometimes less is more. Make sure you are updating your site website and social media pages.
I cannot tell you the amount of times that I view various ministry websites and their content is dated, incorrect years showing in footer for copyright, etc.
The very first thing I am going to take a look into is a ministry’s blog section. Why?
Because I want to see if they are posting fresh and relative content for the times we are living in.
Keep your remote teams synced. Keep them delivering fresh and updated content that is relevant to today’s times.
If you’re doing your part in keeping them healthy and focused, the results that they deliver for you will far exceed your expectations.
We’d love to hear how you and your remote teams are keeping healthy and up-to-par with the technology issues we are facing as we begin entering deeper into 2022.
