With there being so much concern over the COVID-19 “Coronavirus” and recommendations by various local and state governments, I thought it would be primetime to highlight the importance of using Facebook Live as a means to be able to deliver your church’s content.
In a world where most folks have a smartphone, laptop, or even a tablet, communicating with them from an entirely different location is possible. Rather than potentially putting your people at risk, until this settles down, you can always choose to deliver your sermons or Bible studies via Facebook Live.
You may want to purchase a mini-tripod for your phone if that is what you are going to be using. However, making your content available to your church members is fairly straightforward.
Take a look at the video of how easy it is to stream to Facebook Live using your smartphone.
With built-in technology that exists in today’s technology, you can even use the built-in cameras that many laptops and desktops have on them already. However, you may want to think about using a different microphone with them to ensure you are getting optimized audio which is both clear and audible.
So in the event that your church or ministry may be canceling services amidst the recommendations from the Coronavirus, just know that there are ways for you to stay in contact with your congregation.
For those who may be on the more geeky side of things, you can truly take it to the extreme.
Just do a search on YouTube for creative ways to stream to Facebook Live or for that fact you can, also, stream live to your church or ministry’s YouTube account if you so have one. You would just need to make the link to the feed shareable in order for folks to be able to watch.
If you should have any questions or need a bit more help, you can always reach out to Greg Hyatt on Facebook or emailing me at ghyatt@creativewebsitedesign.us.
Let us know how you intend to possibly incorporate Facebook Live in your church during this unusual circumstance that many churches and ministries across the country are facing now. We’d love to hear about your experience and if it provided you with alternatives to continue to spread the Gospel message.
